Hartley Wood Interiors started manufacturing kitchens fifteen years ago and has designed and installed a large number in the homes of satisfied customers. During that time period we have continued to progress our designs to meet evolving customer requirements.

In the early days it was common to take sheets of material to the site and literally build the whole kitchen in the clients home. Today, we have our own facilities with skilled craftsmen together with all the machinery and equipment to produce the units in our own workshop. Hardwoods are all finished before delivery while hand painted units are supplied and delivered in a primed finish ready for painting after installation.

With our hardwood kitchens we are able to colour and stain the units to individual requirements but clients usually opt for a natural finish reflecting the true characteristics of the timber. While we focus our designs to meet individual requirements we can also suggest a range of styles and materials/finish that can be used as a starting point for those customers without firm ideas. For our Pine kitchens we only use old reclaimed timbers and much of the wood is marked with nail holes and/or saw cuts which we try to retain to give the kitchen a charm that only old Pine can achieve.
